The Teaching of American
History: Promise and Performance - The appalling
results of
de-emphasizing the study of U.S.
history in elementary and secondary schools have become painfully

the National Assessment of Educational Progress, only one fourth of
American schoolchildren
tested as proficient in their knowledge of U.S.
history. A study in Arizona
found that only 3.5 percent of high school
students could pass the test of civic knowledge given to immigrants
seeking to
become U.S.
citizens.
An
analysis of adults’
knowledge of the American Revolution and the Founding of the United
States
exposed the sad reality that while 60 percent of respondents knew how
many
children “Jon and Kate” of reality-TV fame have,
only slightly more than
one-half could correctly identify James Madison as the
“Father of the

Sixty-six percent (66%) of Americans
celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday. A new Rasmussen Reports

telephone survey found that another 20% celebrate the event as a

holiday.
Of
those who celebrate
Christmas, 81% believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God sent to
earth to die
for our sins and 72% say Jesus was born to a virgin.
Among
all Americans, whether
they celebrate Christmas or not, 82% say the person known to history as

Christ actually walked the earth 2,000 years ago. Only three percent
(3%) say
he did not and 15% aren’t sure.

NJ Teacher Tells Girl to Put
Away Bible - A teacher at the Madison Park Elementary
School in Old Bridge,
N.J., told a 3rd grader that the Bible was not appropriate reading
material for
quiet time, and ordered the girl to put the book away, according to the
girl's
parents. …
Michelle
Jordat says her
daughter, Mariah, cried when the teacher told her to put away the
Bible. Jordat
says her daughter's feelings were hurt and she was confused. "This was
injustice," Jordat says. "No other child has to go through this
again." Jordat accepted the
principal's apology, but wants something in writing stating that
reading the
Bible is OK during personal reading time. She also says she will speak

In
December 1944, American soldiers were fighting desperately against the
last
great German offensive of World War II, the Battle of the
Bulge. Men were dying in large
numbers. The counterattack had bogged down in mud and rain. Planes
could not
fly because of low clouds. General George Patton, commander of the
Third Army,
called his chaplain into his headquarters and said:

publish a prayer for good weather. I'm tired of these soldiers having
to fight

Congressional Health Care
Sunday? - On Sunday, December 6, 2009, President
Obama traveled to
Capitol Hill to speak to the Senate Democrat Caucus to rally their
support for
the federal government health care seizure and takeover plan. Following
that
lobbying meeting with the President, Senate leader Harry Reid took the
Senate
into an extremely rare Sunday session where they continued debating the
many
problems with the health care bill, including required abortion
coverage and
the public option issue.
Sunday
sessions have been
extremely rare because of the U. S. Constitution's Article I "Sundays
Excepted" Clause, which excludes Sunday from the federal lawmaking
process. The Framers of the Constitution held great respect for the
Christian
Sabbath and therefore removed it from the federal lawmaking calendar.

Despite
such concerns,
earlier in the year Senator Harry Reid called the Senate into a rare
Sunday
session for a vote on a lands bill - a session which, in the words of
one
prominent national newspaper, communicated the clear message "church be
damned."
Significantly,
until the
twentieth century, Sunday remained off-limits as a legislative day.
Then after
a few Sunday sessions popped up in the early twentieth century,
Congress
returned to the constitutional directive. In fact, there were no
congressional
Sunday sessions even during the nation's most serious crises, including
World
War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Only in recent years has
Congress
decided to violate the spirit if not the letter of the Constitution's
"Sunday's Excepted" Clause.
Even
the liberal 1961 U. S. Supreme
Court recognized and acknowledged the religious significance of this
important
constitutional clause:
First
is the inclusion in
the U. S. Constitution of the recognition of the Sabbath in Art. I,
Sec. 7,
2, stipulating that the President has 10 days to sign a law, "Sundays
excepted." . . . Can any impartial mind deny that it contains a
recognition of the Lord's Day as a day exempted by law from all worldly
pursuits? . . . Sunday was recognized as a day of rest.

Six Bogus
Beliefs Held By Youth - Young people are incapable of

Parents bigots for opposing 'gay' lessons Families grilled
about
religious beliefs, church sermons against homosexuality - A
judge has attacked
parents, suggesting they are bigots for seeking to opt-out their
elementary-age
children from a mandatory controversial pro-homosexual curriculum,
according to
a non-profit law firm. …California's
Alameda
Superior Court by
Pacific Justice Institute. On Dec. 1, Judge Frank Roesch denied a
motion to
allow them to have their children excused from the
lessons. According to the group,
Roesch blasted the parents for seeking enforcement of a provision of
the
California Education Code that gives parents a right to opt their kids
out of
health education.
Education
Code Section 51240
allows a parent to have a student excused from instruction, "If any
part
of a school's instruction in health conflicts with the religious
training and
beliefs of a parent or guardian of a pupil."
However, Pacific Justice
Institute said Roesch repeatedly insinuated that the parents are bigots
and
insisted there can be no homosexual indoctrination because, he
purportedly
argued, people are born that way. …
He
explained, "The
whole purpose of the book was to get the subject [of same-sex parents]
out into
the minds and the awareness of children before they are old enough to
have been
convinced that there's another way of looking at life. … It
would be really
nice if children were not subjected to the – I don't want to
use the word
'bigotry,' but that's what I want to say anyway – of their
parents and older

grade students read
about two homosexual penguins that raise a young chick in the book "And
Tango Makes Three" by J. Richardson and P. Parnell.The two male
penguins, Roy
and Silo, are
described as being "a little bit different." … In the third
grade,
students watch a film called "That's a Family," featuring some
homosexual couples in addition to traditional families.

required to read an essay titled, "My School is Accepting –

the Nov. 24 ruling the
Third Circuit approved the school policy banning all religious
Christmas music,
including instrumentals, that had been part of the South
Orange-Maplewood
School District’s Christmas program for years –

Why sin cannot be condoned
by state - Joseph Farah - On
Friday, more than 150
Christian leaders, most of them conservative evangelicals and
traditionalist
Roman Catholics, issued a joint declaration reaffirming their
opposition to homosexual
marriage on the basis of protecting religious freedom. While I agree
that
government's granting of special "rights" based on aberrant sexual
behavior is a religious freedom issue, it's not the main reason for
concern by
Christians and Jews. The Bible clearly identifies homosexual behavior,
as
opposed to homosexual thoughts or predilections, as sin. The issue
Christians
and Jews should be focused upon is whether it can ever be acceptable
for the
government to condone sin – or, worse yet, encourage it by
making it a
"right." I don't believe government can do that without dire
consequences. …
He's
saying something to
which every Christian, every Jew and every American should pay close
attention:
God has revealed to all men the difference between right and wrong. You
may not
like God's rules, but we are all without excuse as to what those rules
are. If
you don't obey God's rules, your heart becomes darkened to the truth.
You might
think you know better than God, but you are actually a fool if you do.
When a
whole society rejects the One True God and begins worshipping false
gods, it opens
the society up to judgment.
Those
judgments include the
following: more unrighteous behavior, sexual immorality, meanness,
greed, envy,
violence, conflict, lies, gossip, hate for God, pride,
self-centeredness,
mercilessness and disrespect for parents by children. Notice that No. 1
on that
list is homosexuality. However, also notice, it's not just
homosexuality, but an
increase in those who take pleasure in the exhibition of homosexual
behavior
that comes as a judgment on a society rejecting God.

The result of this sanitizing of
American
history is that, by design, the vast majority of public school children

past 2-3 generations) will be taught an incorrect, skewed, Godless view
of
history. Most Americans will live their entire lives never knowing
their
country’s true history. They will never know its
precious, rich, Christian
heritage and miracles that came about to help establish the
Republic. Ignorant
of their true history, and ignorant that their rights come from God,
not
government; many Americans, when asked, will say the government of the United States is
a Democracy or representative Democracy, not a Constitutional
Republic.
That is what they have been taught in school and is what hear in the
media. But
under a Democracy, it is government (majority or mob rule) who
determines what rights you have, and
sadly one by one
(as many are starting to wake up to), they have already lost many
of their rights, liberties, and freedoms that our Founding Fathers and
earlier
citizens fought and died to protect.

high
school classes, this was one of my favorites. It always got the

attention. And I have to admit, I also enjoyed seeing some liberal
teachers get
so upset with me they almost lost their lunches. ... The

Plymouth Rock in 1620 were incredibly brave and hardy souls. They were
motivated by the noblest of virtues. They vowed, each and every one, to
be as
selfless as possible—to always put the needs of the group
first. They agreed to

their naïve piety almost
killed the entire colony. We all know how the
adventure begins. A group of devout Christians, seeking religious
freedom for
themselves and eager to "advance the Gospel of the Kingdom
of Christ"
in the New World

attitude, the system did not work. Pilferage from the storehouse became
common.
Suspicions of malingering were muttered. Over the course of that first,
harsh
winter, nearly half of the colonists perished. Four families were wiped
out

desperately for two more years. When spring arrived in April 1623,
virtually
all of their provisions were gone. Unless that year’s harvest
improved, they
feared few would survive the next winter. The Pilgrim leaders decided

efforts with individual responsibility the differences were

Mitchell - America’s number one problem
is our lack of theological understanding,
which leads to a lack of spiritual relationship with God. Our number

either number one or two in every one of those categories. What is
their secret?
Vouchers.
Finnish
parents get tax
credits so they get to send the kids to what ever school they want,
pubic for
private. Isn’t that the way it should be? Isn’t
that best
for the kid? Shouldn’t
parents decide which school their kids go to and where their tax dollar
going? But here, in the land of the free ... unless you are
talking about teen abortions without parental consent, choice
is a
dirty word ... homeschooled kids understand the Constitution, on
average, far better than public school kids. That would make
sense, the Founding Fathers were, after
all, homeschooled.
This year an organization called
Exodus Mandate has called on all Christian families to yank their kids
out of
the public education system, immediately. It has been a long time
coming
brother. The
public education systems
can NOT BE REFORMED. Public education founder C. F.
Potter stated that one hour
of Sunday School cannot possibly stem the tide of five days of
humanist education.
You see, from the beginning, the goal was never about education, it has
always been about indoctrination.

removes God from Abraham Lincoln’s Thanksgiving Day
Proclamation – These days,
it seems to be getting more and more difficult to know what information
you can
trust, especially with the main stream media and many web sites on the
internet.
If you expected federal government web sites that exhibit our
founding history,
documents and historical sites immune from revision or omission, you
would be
wrong. In our politically correct, secular, anti-God society today,
nothing it
seems is off limits. Not even Lincoln’s
Proclamation establishing the last Thursday of November as a day of
thanksgiving is immune from revision.
Revising,
and sanitizing, American
history, by removing God is nothing new; it has been going on in the
public
school system for two or three generations. So too has this been
happening to many of
our important national documents, and historical sites, as well. A
number of
books like The Rewriting of
American’s
History and other books document expunging God from our
national
history. The
same has been observed, and documented, with many of our historical
sites as
well. Examples are too numerous to mention. One such example I ran into
today
that prompted this piece was the National Park Service's web site
listing
Abraham
Lincoln’s Thanksgiving Day Proclamation.
One of the most
common “omissions” in documents on
many federal and state web sites is to remove the last paragraph or
words “in
the year of our Lord …” Another is to post only a
portion of the document or
letter thus, removing the religious portion. And yet another is to make
the
document harder to find, or in rare cases, removing the document
altogether. Below
is an example from the National Park Service web site of Abraham
Lincoln’s Thanksgiving
Day Proclamation. Omitted from Lincoln’s
October 3, 1863, Thanksgiving Day Proclamation is in the last paragraph
of the
text, “Done at the city of Washington,
this third day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred
and sixty-three, and of the independence of the United States

country’s founding,

The Results of Our Ignorance

people today who know little or nothing about the U.S. Constitution.

many who know little or nothing of U.S.
history, let alone world
history. There are many who know little or nothing about central banks,

they are used to steal our wealth. There are many who buy into the
glossed-over
news of the day. There are many who take at face value the words of the
elected
class, the pundits and main stream media talking heads and printed

are many who buy into the party line of their preferred political
party. There
are many who blindly believe the various political parties have a
platform on
which they base their actions and agendas and are committed to
following
through on those policies. There are many who believe the president,

representative they elected has in their hearts the best interests of

are many who are
ignorant. It’s not all their fault—particularly the
younger generations. Their
education system has been corrupted by 1960s radicalism—the
same radicalism
that has infected our government. Public education has become

strong arm of
their government. Then God raises up a small minority, sometimes one
individual, who rediscovers that the only source of liberty is God and
His
Word. Working together with God, they then proceed to liberate millions
with
His truth. Be encouraged that we can restore our nation against all
odds. There
is no better place to start to see what can be done than to track the
impact of
early believers as they faced the cruelty of Rome
on the one hand and the anarchy and barbarity of the pagan tribes of Europe on the other. They
ultimately outlasted and
defeated the Roman Empire
and laid the
foundations for Western Civilization. They turned the world upside down
by
following their Lord’s strategy of servant leadership (Mathew

elderly would just accept
death and that denying them health care can speed the process.

polarization between the young and

grandparents.
One can make a strong case for the present destruction of
families and marriages
being the result of a series of earlier social
engineering plans and schemes. …
A great number have served nobly during America’s
wars–lost limbs and suffered
from the stress of war. Are we to dishonor them now for their
sacrifice by
telling them they are a liability? Others gave their sons and
daughters
during wars and lived with the anguish of the loss. Is this how we
honor that
sacrifice?—?to tell them that they are of
no use? When I read the stories of
the young men and women who have sacrificed their
lives in battle in today’s
wars I wonder will they be dishonored in such a way
when they get old or sick?.
We
can honestly say that it
was the labor of our seniors that built this great country, so how can

don’t even care
that they are suffering during their last days and that they
are aware that
relief of their suffering exist, but they cannot have it??the

Some Parents Revolt Over
Obama's Planned Speech to Children - President Obama's
plan to deliver a
televised speech to public school students caused an uproar among
conservative
parents in Texas,
who demanded that their children be allowed to skip the event,
scheduled for
Tuesday. "It seemed like a direct channel from the president of the United States
into the classroom, to my child," said Brent Curtis, an engineer who is
keeping his three kids at home. "I don't want our schools turned over
to
some socialist movement." Most of the opposition was along similar
lines,
complaining either that the speech was indoctrination or that it had
not been
screened for political content.
White
House officials stressed that the speech was not political, and would
simply encourage children to work hard and stay in school. "It's not a
policy speech," a spokeswoman for the Department of Education said,
repeating the assurances that White House spokespeople issued Thursday.
Criticism
of the speech began when it was learned that an accompanying lesson
plan referred to ways students can "help the President" and urged

Mandatory Gay-Friendly
Classes - A lawsuit in California
that was filed last month by angry parents who object to a gay-friendly
curriculum they say is being foisted on kindergartners could well
become a test
case for schools around the country. Parents in the Alameda
Unified
School District
were refused the right to excuse their kids from classes that would
teach all
kids in the district's elementary schools about gay, lesbian, bisexual
and
transgender alternative families.
The
parents say they are
concerned about "indoctrination" in the schools, but administrators
say the course is needed to protect against sexual discrimination
— and that
the lessons are protected by laws in California
and 10 other states. Those states, which stretch
from Washington to
Maine,
will now be eyeing the court results in California
in a case that warring sides say pits parents' rights against a
schools'
responsibilities. ….The contested California
curriculum includes an annual 45-minute LGBT lesson taught to kids from
kindergarten through the fifth grade. The kindergartners will focus on

into government education - A 10-year-old homeschool girl
described as
"well liked, social and interactive with her peers, academically
promising
and intellectually at or superior to grade level" has been told by a

Hampshire court official to attend a government school because she was
too
"vigorous" in defense of her Christian faith.
The
decision from Marital
Master Michael Garner reasoned that the girl's "vigorous defense of her
religious beliefs to [her] counselor suggests strongly that she has not

opportunity to seriously consider any other point of
view." The
recommendation was
approved by JudgeLucinda V. Sadler, but it is being challenged by
attorneys
with the Alliance Defense Fund who said it was "a step too far" for
any court.

As storms flare, so do
attempts to deciede which are ‘SIGNS’ and which are
not - …That was never more
obvious than in Minneapolis last week -- when an extremely rare tornado
roared
near the downtown and ripped a steeple off the flagship Lutheran
cathedral
while national leaders of that congregation were there in Minneapolis
-- across
the street, at that very moment -- preparing to vote on whether to have
a more
accepting policy toward homosexuals. So stark was the "sign" that it
was commented about on both religious and secular blogs and even by
leaders at
the event itself -- yet when it came down to the vote, they obviously
dismissed
it, for they proceeded not only to vote for a more accepting policy
but, two
days later, to allow actively homosexual as clergy!
Some
said there had not been
such a storm in ninety years (about as long as anyone could remember),
and if
that wasn't enough of a "sign," the tornado itself was brief and just
a hundred yards wide and moved only over a distance of only half a mile
-- just
enough to knock off the steeple, disrupt the meeting, and also destroy
the roof
and windows of a famous local music store called the "Electric
Fetus." This perhaps is taking happenstance -- and rejection of signs
--
to a new level. A rare meteorological event like out of the Old
Testament
occurs and still Lutheran leaders proceed with a matter that
contravenes Old and
New Testament teachings. At the same time, a bizarre dark cloud and

History - The History Guru - American
history is, in the view of some, not
the same as the history
of any other nation. Instead, American History is the history of Providence.
It is the
history of how the divine hand has interacted with the human element to
create
a nation that is, in many ways, unique among the nations of the world.
As such,
its history is also unique among the history of the nations. In this
view,
American history is really American providential history;
it’s the story of
God’s interaction with humanity.
American
providential
history focuses on the unique elements in American history in which
human
beings have interacted with the divine. As such, it begins with a study
of the
early American settlers. These settlers, in many cases, came to America from Europe
for religious reasons. In some instances, they were persecuted for
their
religious beliefs, such as was the case with the Pilgrims. In other
instances,
people came to America
for
missionary purposes - they hoped to spread Christianity to the native
people of America.
From
there, people
interested in American providential history focus on the amazing events
that
occurred during the nation’s founding. They look at movements
like the Great
Awakening, which had a significant impact on the religious views of the
colonists. In many ways, it was this Great Awakening that was
responsible for
the political spirit of independence that ultimately led to the
creation of the United States.
The
interaction of the Divine
with America
doesn’t stop there, however. American providential history
looks at the
subsequent events that have occurred, as well. For example, the
struggle over
slavery is viewed as God’s working in society to make sure
that the God-given
rights of life and liberty are protected for all people, not just the
privileged few. A providential view of American history also sees America
as a
unique country in the eyes of God. It views America
as a “city on a hill” that
serves as a model for the rest of the world when it comes to liberty
and

study shows homeschoolers
excel academically - HSLDA released a new study: the Progress Report
2009:
Homeschool Academic Achievement and Demographics, conducted by Dr.
Brian Ray of
the National Home Education Research Institute, which surveyed 11,739
homeschooled students for the 2007–08 academic school year.
The results were
consistent with previous studies on homeschool academic achievement and
showed
that homeschoolers, on average, scored 37 percentile points above
public school
students on standardized achievement tests.
….“Because
of the one-on-one
instruction homeschoolers receive, we are prepared academically to be
productive and contributing members of today’s
society,” said Smith. The
average public school spends nearly $10,000 per child per year whereas
the Progress
Report shows that the average homeschool parent spends about $500 per
child per
year.

growing, thriving education movement that is challenging the

Obama administration's
education reform efforts" in its "$4.35 billion Race to the
Top," will include "adopting internationally benchmarked education
standards." These will be national standards, said the press release,
keyed to international standards and will be incentivized to the states
with
federal "stimulus" dollars. …

to the
announcement, this federal curriculum will consist of "internationally
benchmarked" standards. The only extant comprehensive
"internationally benchmarked" education standards are those developed
by UNESCO, the UN's education arm The UNESCO website clarifies that its
education standards conform to the treaties and agreements of the UN.
This
means that its curriculum includes, for example, the requirements of
the UN's
Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) which says, "Education
shall
. . . further the activities of the United Nations" (Art. 26:2).
American
schools used to teach the fundamental values of the United States--including
the inalienable, God-given rights of life, liberty and property, as
guaranteed
by our Declaration of Independence and Constitution. Not any more. Now
our
students will be indoctrinated in the UN's definition of human rights.

Teaching Masturbation to 5-Year-Olds - The United Nations
is recommending that
children as young as five receive mandatory sexual education that would
teach
even pre-kindergarteners about masturbation and topics like gender
violence. The
U.N.'s Economic, Social and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) released a
98-page
report in June offering a universal lesson plan for kids ranging in age
from
5-18, an "informed approach to effective sex, relationships" and HIV
education that they say is essential for "all young people."

insists the program
is "age appropriate," but critics say it's exposing kids to sex far
too early, and offers up abstract ideas — like "transphobia"

Nebraska legislators seek to assert state
sovereignty - At
least three Nebraska
lawmakers want to send a message to the federal government: Butt out of
state
business. Next year they will see if a majority of their colleagues
agrees. The
senators are working on resolutions asserting Nebraska's
sovereignty under the 10th
Amendment of the Constitution. Nebraska
wouldn't try to secede from the union under their proposals but would
go on
record objecting to federal laws that they say go beyond constitutional
authority. “My goal here is to shine light on the fact that
the federal
government is overstepping its bounds,” said State Sen. Tony
Fulton of Lincoln.
“We would be
making a statement on behalf of Nebraska.”

'In God We Trust' Engraving - The nation's largest group

agnostics filed a lawsuit Tuesday seeking to block an architect from

Is President Obama Correct: Is America
No Longer a Christian Nation? - Over the past several
years, President Barack
Obama has repeatedly claimed that America
is not a Christian nation.
He asserted that while a U.
S.
Senator, repeated it as a presidential candidate,
and on a recent presidential trip to Turkey
announced to the world that
Americans “do not consider ourselves a Christian
nation.” (He
made that announcement in Turkey
because he said it was “a location he said he chose to send a
clear message.” ) Then preceding a subsequent trip
to Egypt,
he declared that America
was “one of the largest Muslim countries in the
world” (even
though the federal government’s own statistics show that less
than one-percent
of Americans are Muslims.
The
President’s statements
were publicized across the world but received little attention in the
American
media. Had they been carried here, the President might have been
surprised to
learn that nearly two-thirds of Americans currently consider America
to be a
Christian nation and therefore certainly might have taken
exception with his remarks. But regardless of what today’s
Americans might
think, it is unquestionable that four previous centuries of American

would definitely take umbrage with the President’s

Who Lost the Children? -
…Where
the Law of God is neglected—and it is neglected almost
everywhere in churches

defined “law of love” can take the place in

about this.

Whaddya mean, 'America is not
a Christian nation'? Congressmen challenge Obama assertion by drafting
'spiritual heritage' legislation – While
Barack Obama has repeatedly
claimed that the U.S.
is “no longer a Christian nation,” several
members of Congress have taken a stand to boldly disagree.
A
bipartisan group of 25
members of the House of Representatives earlier this month submitted
H.Res.
397, which calls on Congress to affirm "the rich spiritual and
religious history
of our nation's founding and subsequent history" and to designate the
first week of May as America's Spiritual Heritage Week for "the
appreciation of and education on America's history of religious faith."
Rep.
Randy Forbes, R-Va.,
specifically challenged the president's claims that America
is not a Christian nation
in a news conference announcing the bill immediately following last
week's
National Day of Prayer observance.

overwhelming
evidence suggests that this nation was born and birthed with
Judeo-Christian
principles," Forbes told reporters, "and I would challenge anybody to

Hillary Clinton leaves
flowers for Our Lady of Guadalupe, asks ‘Who painted
it?’ - During
her recent visit to
Mexico, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton made an unexpected stop
at the
Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe and left a bouquet of white flowers
“on
behalf of the American people,” after asking who painted the
famous image.
The
image of Our Lady of
Guadalupe was miraculously imprinted by Mary on the tilma, or cloak, of
St.
Juan Diego in 1531. The image has numerous unexplainable phenomena,
such as the
appearance on Mary’s eyes of those present in the room when
the tilma was
opened and the image’s lack of decay.
Mrs.
Clinton was received on
Thursday at 8:15 a.m. by the rector of the Basilica, Msgr. Diego
Monroy. Msgr. Monroy took Mrs.
Clinton to the famous image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, which had been
previously
lowered from its usual altar for the occasion.
After
observing it for a
while, Mrs. Clinton asked “who painted it?” to
which Msgr. Monroy responded
“God!”

Only 12% of
Idahoans Would Choose Regular Public School if Given a Choice
- A poll
commissioned by the prestigious Friedman Foundation and co-sponsored by
the
Idaho Values Alliance and Education Excellence Idaho found that only
12% of
Idahoans would chose a “regular public school” if
they had a full range of
options.
Even more
striking, this figure drops to just 4% among Idahoans age
36-55, who are the chief consumers of public education services in Idaho.

astonishing number, because it tells us that the more Idaho’s
parents use conventional public
